When modifying an aircraft with the support of an independent supplier and the approval by a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC), one of the major concerns is a potential impact to the aircraft life limit (flight hours / flight cycles published by the OEM). This white paper investigates whether it has any impact on aircraft operability and continuing airworthiness when exceeding the original Design Service Life limits.
